There are four main rivers within the Lièvre watershed: the Lièvre River, the Mitchinamecus River, the Kiamika River and the Sourd River. There are also multiple tributaries flowing into these rivers throughout the watershed.

Of the 3,768 lakes in the Lièvre River watershed, the largest are the following reservoirs:
- Poisson Blanc reservoir (85.21 km2)
- Mitchinamecus reservoir (64.75 km2)
- Kiamika reservoir (42.48 km2) and
- Escalier reservoir (11.14 km2).
The following lakes are larger than 10 km2 and are located mainly in the northern portion of the watershed:
- Némiscachingue Lake (16.60 km2)
- Lac-des-Îles (16.24 km2)
- Grand lac du Cerf (12.67 km2)
- Culotte Lake (11.40 km2) and
- Adonis Lake (11.34 km2).
In the southern portion of the watershed, the largest lake is Argile Lake(4.51 km2).
