Gatineau: What is the Status of My Water Quality?

Click here - GatineauClick here - Gatineau At the entrance of the City of Gatineau, variations of the Index of Bacteriological and Physicochemical Quality (IQBP) near the Alonzo-Wright Bridge are much more significant than in Grand-Remous. From 2001 to 2003, the IQBP value varied from 4 (very poor water quality) to 91 (good water quality). It should be noted that 50% of the samples reported good water quality and 25% reported fair water quality. Nonetheless, the standards for good water quality have been exceeded for 17 of the 36 days sampled. More recent data ranging from May 2003 to October 2005 reveal that an average IQBP of 72 at the entrance of the City of Gatineau indicates fair water quality.
